For some reason a user's cron jobs didn't get executed beginning on Sunday
evening. lxr's cron entries worked fine up until this point. lxr is a valid
user, the crontab file wasn't edited for quite some time and this is the
message in /var/cron/log?
! bad user (lxr) Sun Jul 20 19:00:00 2003
Every time cron tried to run this person's cron entries, this error would be
in the /var/cron/log file (along with the script name). The system was
rebooted and the message came up one more time and then from that point on,
the cron entries worked again.
Any ideas what could have caused cron to not like this person for a few hours?
Was it the reboot that fixed the problem?
