remote tar problem, 2

..... rsh also doesn't work

and both, dump and tar doesn't work. I only mixed up the syntax for the
commands when writing the mail.

And ssh is available only on the linux box, not on the solaris system, so it's
not considerable at this moment to use ssh instead.
