Hi guru's.
Gotta problem with ufsrestore. From another site I got a tape with one
single ufsdump file on it.
The dump was made on Solaris 2.5.1
I've inserted the tape in a L280 autoloader, and loaded the tape with the
nsrjb command (I use Solstice Backup for regular backups)
I used
# nsrjb -j mt1 -l -n -S1
In English this means load from jukebox mt1 the tape in the first slot,
without mounting it and without informing the software
I rewinded the tape with
# mt -f /dev/rmt/2ubn rew
Then I wanted it to read the Table of Contents on the tape with:
# ufsrestore -t /dev/rmt/2ubn
But it give a message /dev/rmt/0: I/O error
it also gives this message when I try to do
# ufsrestore i /dev/rmt/2ubn
Am I forgetting somewhere or is the ufsdump/restore from Solaris 2.5.1 not
compatible with Solaris 8 versions ?
Any help would be appreciated
Kind regards,
