Here's an annoying thing that's likely bothering someone else too:
I have a great deal of local software, set up in /usr/local
among the directories there is a /usr/local/man directory
Now: My .profile man path (ksh), shows
MANPATH=/usr/share/man:/usr/local/man
Problem: can't get any man pages for any cmds installed in /usr/local
I've tried various combinations of catman (including -M /usr/local/man)
as well as even a batch job to put a symbolic link from the /usr/local/man/CMD
dir to the main man directory
I'm missing something really stupid, care to be the one to let me know where
I've messed up?
(so close, yet so far!!!)
Mitch
Oh. Solaris 5.8
