/proc question

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me why:

# ls -ld /proc/16228/cwd
lr-x------ 1 user group 0 Jul 10 13:17 /proc/16228/cwd -> /

points to / when the cwd for PID 16228 is actually /home/username.

OS = Solaris 8 2/02.
