Howto get Promise IDE PCI Card in Sun AXi work

Hi!

I have a SUN AXi Motherboard (SCSI onboard) but because of the price of the SCSI HDs I would like to install IDE Hds (Seagate Barracudas)...(and to make Veritas and Solaris 9 supporting them)
The devices are attached, the OBP extended probe mode recognizes a PCI card (but just a PCI with a number, not with a IDE Interface) but nothing like a IDE card... I have a Promise Ultra 100 TX2 Controller.
I tried to put some commands I read in the internet, but did not know exactly how to make them
permanent in the OBP (3.10.8). probe-ide and probe-ide-all doesn't show anything.
The following notice is what I found in the net (http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/sparc64/faq.html#pci-cards):
"Lloyd Parkes has provided the nvram commands to have a "standard" IDE controller recognised correctly by the PROM.

dev /packages/SUNW,builtin-drivers
: class018000
f 9 my-space + " config-b!" $call-parent class010100
;
device-end"
I tried this but it doesn't work... Perhaps I did not understand all written there. But until now I didn't manage to get in contact with LLoyd.... So I hope someone reading this had the same problem...
Hope at least booting with an SCSI device and puting my data on the IDE
would work....

Thanks in advance...
Matthias
