SunPCI II and CDROM in Sun Blade 100

I'm having a problem accessing the CDROM drive in my Sun Blade 100 via the
SunPCi II card.

I tried looking at the archives for this list, but when I do a search, I
get sent to the latech.edu web site search page -- don't know what's going
on there (I'm using Netscape 7.0 on Solaris 8). I tried a sunsolve search
on "sunpci cdrom" -- no joy.

I was running SunPCi II 2.0.1. I went ahead and removed that and
installed the 2.3.2 package, and applied patchlevel 02 to it. However,
I'm still having problems. I have the cdrom alias listed in the
SunPCi.ini file, and I've followed the user's guide instructions (vold is
running). But, I cannot get the PC to access the CDROM drive.

Incidentally, with 2.3.2, my USB hard drive is now no longer recognized
like it was under 2.0.1. That's a pain, too -- I'm trying to get both the
USB hard drive and the CDROM operational at the same time. Anyway, one
step at a time.

I see in the drive management that there's a red X on the Sun CDROM, as if
the device is not connected or something.

I can use the CDROM normally on the Sun -- vold mounts the disc and I can
read files from it.

This is not an audio CD.

Any thoughts?

Thanks very much,
-Adam
