Hi Gurus,

I have an e250 with two a1000s attached via two UWDS HBAs. I'm creating a
striped volume on each a1000 using Raid Manager 6.2 and mirroring the
volumes with solstice disk suite 4.2. This is for a software development
database that will handle mainly random IO. Each volume will consist of 6
disk.

I'm planning on using the following setting and would appreciate a sanity
check from the list. Am I doing something stupid?

raid manager stripe unit size = 128KBytes
disk suite stripe unit size = 768KBytes

newfs -r 10000 -m 1 -C 96 /dev/....

maxpgio : Y*(number of swap devices) ; Y = 60 - 100 depends
on disks and bus
md_maxphys, maxphys : increase to take advantage of the striped volume,
based on number of disks and SUS
ufs_LW, ufs_HW : increase proportionally to take advantage of the
striped volume; using : 524288, 786432

Thanks!
-rob
