Hi All,
I get the following error from the window client machine connecting to a
unix(solaris 2.8) cvs server.
C:\FiSys\VendorSoftware\WinCvs>cvs -d
:pserver:dzaza@nyfidev1:/mbsdevel/repository/FixedIncome login
(Logging in to dzaza@nyfidev1)
CVS password:
cvs [login aborted]: unrecognized auth response from nyfidev1: cvs pserver:
cannot open /mbsdevel/repository/FixedIncome/CVSROOT/config: Permission
denied
Following are my entries in /etc/inetd.conf
cvspserver stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/bin/cvs cvs
-f --allow-root=/mbsdevel/repository/FixedIncome pserver
and in /etc/services
cvspserver 2401/tcp
cvspserver 2401/udp
My solaris box used NIS passwd for authentication.
Any clues??
