Quad ethernet card on Sun Blade 100

Dear managers,

I having a typical problem.

I'm having a SUN Blade 100 system
with Solaris-8 loaded with all the recommended patches.We put a Quad ethernet
card on that, but it failed to detect.

But a Ultra-5 System with Solaris-8
loaded is able to detect the card.

We checked the HCL of SUN Blade which says
that it will support Quad cards.Does anybody came across this kind of
discrepancy?

Please help.Thanks in advance.
