Hello Sir/Madam,

I am(venu) recently joined as an solaris administrator
in MNC. The company having upto 20 servers all are SUN
Enterprize servers and one of server attached to D1000
array with 7 drives. first 2 drives are system drives
and rest of 5 drives are non system drives. Here I
implemented RAID 1 for first 2 drives(system drives)
and next 4 drives are for data drives with RAID 5. and
7th drive is Hotspare drive.

If any one drive crash/bad drive from RAID 5 then
automatically Hotspare drive will take care but my
doubt is if 2 drives crash/bad at a time from RAID 5
then anydata loss because of only one Hotspare.

how to manage if the situation like this. Pls suggest
me how to proceed if I get like this situation.

Thanks for receiving my mail inadvance,

Sincerely,
venu
