Hello,

I had a problem on a StorEdge T3 not getting an IP address from a rarpd server (after configuring necessary files, of course). These devices were connected to a cisco switch. I had enabled debug messages (-d) on the in.rarpd but it was not getting any rarp request from the T3.

Furgus Donahue noted 'portfast' which was listed in the Release Notes of the StorEdge T3.

So one just need to enable the 'spanning-tree portfast' on the concerned port and it worked.
