interface configuration error

I have a problem I'm hoping you guys can help me with. I installed solaris 8
on sunfire 280r and configured
/etc/hosts,nodename,hostname.eri0,resolv.conf,nsswitch.conf,defaultrouter
files..... I get a interface configuration error from while boot telling me
that ifconfig has a bad address for my interface, eri0. I had done some
troubleshoot ..still problem is there any suggestion.

What do I need to do to fix this?
