220R problems

First of all, thanks to everyone who responded to my previous post
regarding the quad Ethernet card. I did not post a summary as the card
was simply swapped for a "real" quad fast Ethernet card! Turns out the
card we had in there may not have been a qfe card.. Anyway, all is well
now on that front.

However, my bad luck persists. My manager has delivered 2 more used
220's to be configured and I have an issue with each one of them:

1) The first 220 I was able to load successfully but then I did a
'poweroff' command from Solaris so I could move the power cord to the
second 220. When I returned the power cord to the first 220 it would not
power up. I then realized we have no keys for the keyswitches and this
one is in the I position. Therefore, I can not reset the keyswitch to
power it on. When I plug it in, the power supply shows current and I
swapped the power supplys just to be sure it didn't fail. My question
is: Is there any way to bypass/reset the keyswitch on a 220R? Can I
order keys from somewhere?

2) The second 220 has a more difficult issue. We do all of our console
work through the ttya port connected to a null modem and a laptop.
Therefore, we have no keyboards or mice for our Sun systems. When I hook
the laptop up to the second 220 ttya port, it just spits out garbage and
does not boot. I have tried various port settings and am using
HyperTerminal on Windows. default is 9600,N,8,1 and that is what is
detected when the garbage is displayed. I am unable to do a stop-N since
we don't have Sun keyboards. This machine also was delivered with a
graphics adapter installed. I removed the adapter prior to applying
power as we have no need for it. Any other ideas on determining what is
going on?

TIA to all,

Paul
