Hello everyone!

I have a problem that I have already posted to the netbsd-sun3 list,
but did not recieve a solution. I believe it may be sun-specific,
though, so I'll try here.

I have 2 Sun 3/80s which are running into a 3COM 10baseT Hub through
Centrecom trancievers. The Suns boot into NetBSD fine, but after a
few minutes, the network interface will stop responding. If I restart
the networking with "/etc/rc.d/network stop;/etc/rc.d/network start"
, it will come back, only to leave again.

I can see and ping the machines from another good working Linux box,
and can add static ARP routes. However, once the Sun quits working,
the Linux box can't find the machine anymore in it's ARP table. I
suspected that this problem might be caused by the fact that I had to
"create" MAC addresses for these 2 machines since their NVRAM died,
but that appears not to be the case, because I recovered the original
MAC addresses from the old Quantum 105mb Drives.

I have an additional 3/80 that is plugged in here at my house, and
works perfectly.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
