L9 Autoloader configuration

Hello,

I'm trying to install a Sun StorEdge L9 autoloader on Solaris 9 04/03, and I'm
totally stuck.

I have an Ultra 1 with a SBus differential SCSI card connected to the L9, and
am able to see both the tape drive and robotics with probe-scsi-all. According
to /kernel/drv/st.conf, I no longer have to configure it specifically for the
L9 (it's a DLT8000 drive). After doing a reconfigure boot, the tape drive
shows up as /dev/rmt/0. If I use the tape drive's LCD interface to move a tape
into the drive, I can read/write to it successfully.

However, the robotics interface does not show up anywhere in /devices or
dmesg. We've tried changing SCSI IDs (there are no other devices on this card)
to no avail. The terminator is the original one that shipped with the L9.

I haven't been able to find any documentation on this drive that doesn't just
say "install it on your operating system" (from either HP or Sun). Can anyone
help?

Thanks,
