Hello,
I have a Solaris 9 Ultra 2 plugged into a cable modem (in the UK) and it doesn't
work (i.e. i can't ping or view any IP addresses). The initial configuration and
setup of the broadband account was done on my laptop, and this still works fine.
Do all UK cable broadband providers use mac addresses for part of the
authentication?? I'm on NTL, and if they do, could this be why my solaris
machine won't get online?
Thanks in advance.
Richard.
