Hi all,

I am looking at re-writing a "version" of the solaris format command so that
just the disk details it finds are displayed in more informatative way.I
have trussed the command and can see the various C calls and it does seem to
do anything fancy except follow some links etc. I am wondering if anyone has
the source to the command or if anyone has a C utility that does what I am
after.

I can frig it to be non interactive by running

/usr/sbin/format < EOF
EOF > /tmp/format.out

This does give me the data I require in a output file, but it is still in
the format "format"! Any of you who have worked on dynix/PTX may well
remember a command "diskid" that produced the desired effect.
