"Error with console keyboard" but keyboard works in PROM monitor

Hello,

On a small flat SPARC box, I get
                "Error with console keyboard"
and later OS does not react to any key on the keyboard.

The keyboard does work though in PROM monitor on same
computer (if I interrupt boot with Stop+A before the
"Error with console keyboard" message) and
this keyboard works perfectly with other sun box.

What's wrong with this Solaris 8 keyboard definition ?
