I've a serious trouble, all nights in my E6500 runs a procedure that allow
make the copy of an Oracle DB, approximately 700 GB in 2.30 hours, when the
procedure starts the execution we shutdown the DB, nevertheless in most
opportunities processes "LOCAL=NO" or "ora_oraprocess" hangs from init
process, I think in kernel-level and I can't kill them, it produces that a
file system can't be unmounted and the procedure of Data Base copy can't
continue at the end of the boot process
We make this procedure with VxFS 3.3.3 on Solaris 2.7, storage 8730
symmetrix for long time and nothing have changed, We did an operative system
upgrade to the las patch level.
There are a way to kill a process in kernel-level?
I don't have VxFS 3.3.4 nor Solaris 8 and for this reason I can't unmount
the file system with -f or -o force options, There are another way to do
that?
Why the processes of init (1) hangs in kernel-level?
