I have read the docs a few times, and I am still confused.
I was looking at Bandwidth Manager to sit between my lan
and the Internet to limit ftp bandwidth use.
I am now looking at the IPQoS which is part of Solaris 9.
Looking at the docs, it says it can classify packets for
diffserv routers, but it does not explicitly say that it can
function without them.
I have no diffserv routers, so if I install and configure Sol 9
and IPQoS, will the metering module be able to enforce the
limits without them?
I will provide a summary.
