Database, OS, paging space same drive?

Hi all,

I'm building a fairly busy, mission-critical database
server. Can I expect any performance gains by putting
the OS and paging space on its own drive and the
database on another drive? I'm going with the
assumption that I want to make access times as quick
as possible to the paging space, and thus it would
make sense to have it on the drive (or RAID 1 array)
that is least busy. In other words, I expect that
having the paging space and DB on different
drives/controllers would be faster than having it on
all 1 array/controller.

This would be in a Sun Fire 280R server with 10K RPM
FC drives.

Thanks,

joe
