Dear Managers,

We are facing a problem with /etc/inittab file and Sun Cluster
3.0.
We are using 174 virtual terminal entries from the inittab
file.bringing the system down using scshutdown or init 0 with
cluster running is giving a panic and rebooting instead of coming
to Ok prompt.
But if we bring up the system with default /etc/inittab file or
with minimum number of virtual terminal entries, scshutdown is
properly working. But we need all the 174 virtual terminals.

1)Is there any other file other than /etc/inittab to respawn the
ttymon process of all the virtual terminal process??
2)Is there any method to increase the number of /etc/inittab
entries using some kernel tunables??
3)Have you encountered similair kind of problems.

Kindly advice .

Thanks in advance

Regards,
C.Brem Chandar
