The Question :
--------------

How can I get the maximum size of the IO STREAM BUFFER ?

The Answer :
------------

< sysdef >

will give all systemdefinitions

to get spec. max buffer size just type :
---------------------------------

<prompt> sysdef | grep "maximum stream"

this creates following output (here on SunSolaris 8):
-----------------------------------------------------

bash-2.03$ sysdef | grep "maximum stream"

65536 maximum stream message size (STRMSGSZ)

------------------------
THX to all again :-)
