Hello Experts,
The Hardware is Sun Blade 1000, 2 X 750 MHz CPU, 2 Expert 3D Graphics,
Solaris 2.8 Generic_108528-11 and 2 GB RAM, 4GB swap.
1) The Sun Blade is connected on NIS with Server Enterprise 3500 and the
home directory of the users is on this server ( having Solaris 2.8
Generic_108528-09).
You can observe the Generic diffrence between the two Solaris on server and
Blade, can this create a problem.
Problem:-
2) Almost every morning when I try to log in, it tries to take me in but
again comes back to log in screen, and then we have to run the file
gncopy.sh (special programme provided under one of schlumberger S/W which
copies back all the required dt, login and .cshrc files) to correct this
CDE problem, so I can log in. All the recommended Solaris patcehs are
installed, am I missing something, can someone please let me know where to
look for the problem and log files etc., in case some additional log files
are required to correct these problem than please let me know and I will
send the same.
Any immediate help will be highly appreciated. I will for sure summarize.
