Hi,
I am using Solstice Backup 5.1 on a Sun sparc 4 running Solaris 5.6. The
backup tool is of Cybernetics, which uses a 8mm tape. A few days back, the
/nsr/index on the backup server filled up and I was forced to mount a 16GB
partition for the /nsr/index to feed. I even moved the old contents in the
/nsr to the new /nsr and renamed the stuff. The problem is :
1) When I run /usr/bin/nsr/networker& I get an error saying that the "No
nsrhost found in host table", but the networker window opens, only to show
me a message No Server found. I dont know what to do. I am using the
backup server for 8 clients.
2) Whenever I try to mount or unmount tapes, I simple get an error "read
error, I/O error on my console" I dont see any related messages on
/var/adm/messages. I am only able to mount and unmount tapes physically.
3) Also even after the extra space is provided, backups dont go on..
Any suggestions?
