patch problem

i am trying to upgrade patches on a sparc 5 running solaris 8. i downloaded
the recommended patches and installed the ones i needed. the patches install
but when rebooting the computer i get a message that the kernel patch
108528-14 obs has to many fields record 85. then the patches try to
re-install. what could be causing this problem and how could i fix it.
