Hi,

I have a problem, recently added new groups and users then did make all or
make <nis server>
to update the new entries, unfortunately it failed to update the group
entries.
I know think NIS (not NIS+) map is corrupted. Below is what I did.

getent group vesato

return nothing but

ypcat -k group

mn66730
mn66730::103:kevinr,stewartb,mn66730,tim,root,cdinst,min,robertw,vesato
mn66720
mn66720::102:kevinr,stewartb,mn66720,tim,root,cdinst,min,robertw,vesato
cvsadm cvsadm::104:cvsadm,root
cdinst cdinst::101:root,cdinst

My question is how do I rebuild the NIS map with out bringing down the
server and
disturbing other users and their work?
