chmod'ed /usr, can't login!

ok, I did something really stupid. I was logged in as root in / and
thought I was in a scripts directory and did chmod 740 *. I went thru
all the directories in / and fixed them based on comparisons to an
identical system, but apparently I missed /bin because now it is
impossible to login to this box, both ksh and sh logins come back
saying permission denied. Any thoughts on how to get around this
and get onto the box to fix the problem? Also, this box is remote
so I can't login directly to the console. help!!! oh yeah,
sun netra t1400 running 2.7.

thanks -
Elizabeth
