Two different ways are;
iostat -En
ssaadm -v inquiry /dev/rmt/n
Both however only give the HP product code which you can search on eoither
sun.com or HP.com

I usually just use mt status ( however there is no tape in the drive so this
will not report, and the box is unmanned miles away !!!)
