This is a common misconception: the program is called gnuplot, and not
GNUplot. It is completely unrelated to the GNU project, the name was
chosen independently. gnuplot is not GPL'd , but has a rather more
restrictive license (which is mainly relevant for distributors, not
end users).
(I felt this was important enough to warrant a list reply. I'm the
maintainer, btw.)
