problem with the NIS client.

Dear Managers,

we have a solaris 2.6 NIS server which is up and running without any problems.

I have just installed a solaris 8 ( 10/01 ) machine. I made this machine as a NIS client for the above server.

when i restart the solaris 8 NIS client machine, it hangs at the following point.

        starting RPC Services: rpcbind, keyserv, ypbind
        warning: Timedout waiting for NIS to come up.

there are other solaris 2.6 NIS clients in the network which are working fine.

can some one shed light on this problem..??

do i need to restart any of the server processes..??
