Hi,
I am having problem getting up CVS to work properly, I can not logged in as
anonymous user either.
I try this from both PC using smartCVS and UNIX and makes no difference.
[cvsadm:]-> cvs -d :pserver:mn66730@shannon:/cvshome/CVSROOT login
(Logging in to mn66730@shannon)
CVS password:
cvs login: authorization failed: server shannon rejected access to
/cvshome/CVSROOT for user mn66730
[cvsadm:]-> !33
cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@shannon:/cvshome/CVSROOT login
(Logging in to anonymous@shannon)
CVS password:
cvs login: authorization failed: server shannon rejected access to
/cvshome/CVSROOT for user anonymous
and my services file contain
cvspserver 2401/tcp
and
my inetd.conf
cvspserver stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/bin/cvs
cvs -f --allow-root=/cvshome pserver
and my password file is
anonymous::guest
and is placed in cvshome/CVSROOT/CVSROOT/passwd
and environmental variable CVSROOT is set to /cvshome/CVSROOT
passwd for other user such as mn66730 is cut and pasted from shadow
Any Advice on what I am doing wrong?
Cheers,
Min Oo
