Hot plug scsi

Hiya

Does anyone have any thoughts on the implications of just unplugging a scsi
tape drive from the scsi port on an E4500 IO board? There are no other
devices on that bus. Box is running Solaris 8. I don't need to reconnect
anything to the bus, I just need to remove a tape drive that was in use
temporarily, and it would be nice not to have to stay in till 10pm and do a
15 minute reboot just for a 1 second unplugging =)

Thanks
Steven
