The new Sun XVR-1000 graphics accelerator has a Digital Visual
Interface (DVI-D) port. DVI-D (DVI-Digital) supports digital displays
only. DVI-I (DVI-Integrated) supports digital displays and is backward
compatible with analog displays. The following article explains how to
use DVI to connect a Sun XVR-1000 to a 4700 ANSI lumens Sharp XG-V10WU
LCD projector and to a Sun 18" LCD DVI monitor using Gefen DVI
equipment. The URL is:

Does anyone know if there are other DVI graphics cards for Sun systems?
The only DVI cards that I know of are the XVR-1000 and the Tech Source
GFX-220 DVI 2D graphics card. There is a link to the Tech Source card
in the article above.
Please let me know if you test other DVI projectors or monitors that
work with the Sun XVR-1000 card. I will add a compatibility section to
the article above.
Thanks.
