Hi, gurus.

I'm trying to make a dump from a Solaris 2.6 host to an OpenBSD 3.0.

- Remote tape is a HP DLT IV.
- rsh is enabled in the remote host.
- Remote /root/.rhosts contains local hostname.

# ufsdump 0f remotehost:/dev/nst0 /export/misc
  DUMP: Writing 32 Kilobyte records
DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Wed Apr 10 18:01:42 2002
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
  DUMP: Dumping /dev/rdsk/c1t3d0s6 (thishost:/export/misc) to
remotehost:/dev/nst0.
DUMP: Mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
  DUMP: Mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: Estimated 105490 blocks (51.51MB).
DUMP: rmtstatus: expected response size 24, got 56
DUMP: This means the remote rmt daemon is not compatible.
DUMP: Lost connection to remote host.
DUMP: Bad return code from dump: 1

Any ideas?

TIA, IWS.

JESS
