Does anyone know how this setup would be viewed by Oracle?
Binaries are nfs hard mounted via vfstab (/oracle)
db files are mounted from a SAN (/u01, etc.)
/dbexports would be automounted from NAS
The last part is where I'm concerned. When Oracle does an export,
whether full archive or logical logs, does it try and stat the
filesystem *before* it attempts a write? If it does then automount may
cause problems since the filesystem doesn't really exist until a request
is made to it.
