FLAR creation and minimum install

Hi

I want to install a reference machine starting with a minimum solaris
install for the purpose of creating a FLAR image for later
jumpstarting.

I would like to maximise the amount of OEM support in the minimum
install in order to make the FLAR as portatble as possible across
hardware. In particular, it should support X1s, T1s, E450s, E220rs,
E420rs, Ultra 5s and Ultra 10s.

I'm worried that if I stick a CD drive into an X1 for the minimum
install i'll be lacking the required drivers for the rest of the range,
and that the resulting install won't boot on larger hardware, or will
boot but fail to see SCSI sub-systems and the like. Are my fears
unfounded? Is there a way to do a minimum install + all hardware
support from the CD to build a boot-on-anything-with-an-ultrasparc
kernel and image?

Thanks in anticipation.

I will summarise.
