connecting two sun box via serial..

Dear Sunmanagers,

i did a tip hardwire but it just displayed connected.. i connected the cables on the e250 a/b serial port(b) and ultra 5.
my hardwire is hardwire:\
        :dv=/dev/term/b:br#9600:el=^C^S^Q^U^D:ie=%$:oe=^D:

i read that a serial-crossed cable should be used. how can i check if i'm using a correct cable? any configuration that i should check?
