Guys - thanks for you assistance so far. I think i havent been very
clear in the way I asked the question. So I will attempt to clear
things up a little <blush>

In my role, we support about a dozen remote sites (connected via 2meg links)

During a recent scan of a subnet, using NMap, I got lots of results,
each workstation had about 3-5 open ports but one workstation simply
said "Rewire the server room" and its this line that concerns me

I have looked through the source of NMap, hoping to find out what
trips it but to no avail

I was wondering if anyone has come accross this before?

Thanks again
