Well yes and no it depends somewhat on your kit and if you have admin
access to all the devices in the path. If you are the admin of the
network then HPOV now allows you to map the L2 and between 2 devices.
It does this by looking in the cam and arp tables (via snmp)

Also a few years back I did see a perl script to do this as well by
logging into each device and deducing the same information. I think
it also had some pretty icons if that rocks your boat.
Now if I could just remember the name ...
