I've checked Redhat 9 and Knoppix 3.2 and 3.3, all of them work
under VMWare without further configuration. The only thing I'll
advice you to do is to install the X11 drivers shipped with the
iso that has VMWare for running Linux over Windows, the speed of
your screen will be much better.
