You have both software-based and hardware-based options.
For a software-based and Microsoft-oriented solution, you might want to

Or, depending on the traffic that your servers have to handle and on
your budget, you may want to buy a load balancer. Cisco, Foundry and
Radware (just to name a few) can provide you with a box to put in front
of your servers in order to manage the connections between them, both in
active/active and in active/passive configuration.
