There have been studies, one reported in the New Scientist just a
couple months ago, about the effect that attractive women have on
men. Not just real women, even pictures of women. Men who had been
looking at actual or photographed pretty women showed marked
decreases in risk avoidance and increased willingness to sacrifice
long term gain for immediate rewards. The same was not true of
women looking at women or either sex looking at men.

In other words, a pretty face makes most men stupid.

This is not news. But it's useful to see well-researched
confirmation and to find that even a bunch of pixels can elicit
the response.
