Chuck,
It has been very slow for me lately, and only once in a while has it been
unavailable for me. I just double-checked the samspade site, and
www.samspade.org is up and running fine for me now.
According to the samspade web site, SamSpade uses bandwidth donated by
CenterGate and MAPS. MAPS, as with other anti-spam resources could be under
frequent DoS by those damn Spammers.
