Not plugging here - but Gentoo Hardened [1] is your best bet IMO. Not
only can you have an incredibly secure userland thanks to PaX,
grsecurity, and IBM Propolice [2] by default, but anything you need is
just an 'emerge' away thanks to Portage, the Gentoo package manager. The
system can be as big or as small as you want, and to install VMWare, all
you need to do is 'emerge vmware-workstation'. Ping me on
