You bring up a pretty good point Declan. Although this site may not be included in that group, using social engineering in this fashion is just something I never thought of before.

"Here come scan your PC on my free scanner page" (IE do my scanning for me)

However, regardless of the fact that this site has been around for almost 2 years so is probably legit enough, I have to disagree with the original poster that it is simply NOT "An excellent online Pen-Test tool." It is just another online scanner that solely scans your own PC. If you can't drop to a command line on your own PC and run NETSTAT -AN for your listening ports then perhaps you should not be looking for "Pen-test tools"

This allows you to check your computer's security online.

* check all 65,535 TCP/UDP ports (or just ports of your choice)
* look for spyware
* test browser security
* information on IDS and wireless sniffers

[Free, no reg requirements, etc.]
