They pose it as a 60-day eval but if you register it (free) the license
becomes permanent. ( Which begs the question, "What's the point in the eval
status?")

I think that the ability to work with other switches would depend on how
standards compliant their SNMP implementation is. I have found it to work
well with various model Cisco Catalyst, HP ProCurve and BayStack switches
but your mileage may vary.

It doesn't look like Network Supervisor is free anymore (they only have a
downloadable 60 day evaluation version).

Question: does it work for all types of switches or only 3Com switches?
