Personally, the best tools I have with me are the following:
a standard Macbook Pro
a Nokia N800 Tablet fully specced out in memory
a Mobile phone and a fold up bluetooth keyboard that fits into your pocket.

thats just about it.. everything fits neatly into my laptop bag.
