('binary' encoding is not supported, stored as-is) I agree. However, he had mentioned he was inserting data into tables. I assume this is for actions tracking to reduce liability and for detailed reporting. (Thats how I prefer to do it.)
Thats why I mentioned it.

In addition, I usually don't have query analyzer open when I'm doing a black-box pen-test. I'm usually at a field or form on an intranet site or internet site of the company.

I agree that if the situation is conductive of using standard database tools, that is great.
